    A lot of us struggle to make good food and few of us are just born talented to make lovely foods. That is one reason why people like me have to purchase cook books to help me eat. Cooking is like an art the more you cook the better you get and in the beginning it is definitely not edible haha.

     

    When cooking it is important to have an idea on how much ingredients you need to have. Apparently even the meats and the vegetables needs to be cut in the right way to get a better taste out of the food. One of my friend is a chef and I asked them why is it necessary to cut the chicken, lamb and vegetables in a right way. He said that the cutting also plays a part in food tasting good. Then again the dish his wife cooked tasted better than his. For some reason when cooking food, the food women cooked tastes much better than men even if he is a celebrity chef.

     

    I recently bought a cooking book in January 2010 to learn how to make Indian food. First dish I made tasted ok but I wanted it to taste like how it tasted in that Indian restaurant. I have been cooking a lot of Indian dishes lately and I have to admit after 4 months I don’t need a cook book to make any Indian dish because I just know the basic. It might not taste the same as the professional restaurants but it surely makes my partner happy.

     

    I have also started reading a lot of other books and newspapers because of thse cooking books. I never liked reading not even when I was at University and School and now I am reading fiction, non fiction and romance books. It helps to learn new words and also writing skills as I write a lot of blogs. The local second hand book sellers are probably making a lot of money because of me. I have also recommended a lot of friends to read more often to not only improve cooking but also improve knowledge and we can also have a debate while playing football on a novel.
